In this episode of the podcast, we are diving into a question that came in from a lady who is having trouble deciding which direction she wants to go with her dog. She is receiving help from a trainer who has recommended the use of a shock collar, but has reservations. Her question to us is “Can you wean a dog off the shock collar?”

In this episode, we are discuss some very important aspects of dog training theory, such as confidence. No matter which route you decide to go, have confidence. These dogs can sense when their leader is unsure, or not confidant, and can cause many problems. Leaders need to lead with confidence, even if the choice ends up being the wrong one.
