Developing a Year Round Sporting Dog | Ep: #122

Developing a Year Round Sporting Dog

Developing a year round sporting dog is what we are all about. If you have followed our content in the past, you will know that we utilize the same dogs across a wide variety of different hunting, training, and lifestyle applications. Dogs are capable of much more than we often give them credit for, and it seems as though many people think that a dog can only do one kind of hunting. This is simply untrue. Skills and inherent traits often overlap across multiple types of training. For example, shed hunting is very similar to upland hunting. Tracking a wounded deer is very similar to tracking a wounded duck, or a running pheasant. Across it all, the foundation is the base of the building, and essential for all forms of hunting, and life.

In this episode, Jeremy does another podcast with our friends over at Sporting Dog Talk. This is a great podcast that Jeremy himself listens to often, and one we would recommend any of our followers to check out!

As always,  thanks for tuning in and keep the questions and feedback coming.

Also, a HUGE THANK YOU to the Turnpike Troubadours for allowing us to use a snippet from one of our all-time favorite songs The Bird Hunter.  Make sure to check out their music, they are a favorite of ours.
