Dog Runs Away and Chases Animals

Dog runs away and chases animals! We recently received a message from a fella in Sweden who has a cocker spaniel that he is having troubles getting to listen while hunting. When he lets the dog loose, the dog runs away and doesn’t like to recall when catches scent of an animal. He also has had multiple instances where the dog flushes and chases hares, and didn’t come back until the hare evaded him.

In this episode, we dive into these issues, as well as a number of other training related topics that has to do with dogs that value hunting out game more than our commands. We hope you enjoy it!
