Time Doesn't Matter: Dog Training and the Calendar

Time doesn’t matter in training: It’s a problem we see come up time and time again. Many fixes for problems people are experiencing take time and consistency, and neither of those can be rushed. Dog training in general is a marathon, and almost every aspect of dog training needs patience, repetition, and consistency. Stop comparing your progress with your dog to others, every dog is different, and every dog develops in different time frames. The more you watch the clock, worry about where you should be at this age and where you’re not, and try to rush and force training to catch up, the slower your training will go.

As Jeremy often says, “The best way to speed up dog training is by slowing down”.
