Training shed dogs has many aspects to it, and there is a particular sequence we follow when training our shed dogs. We recently received a question about a guy whose dog would pick sheds flawlessly in training, but not in a real hunting scenario. He thought maybe the dog was searching for his scent instead of the antlers, but we feel there is a different issue. The key is to bridge the gap between training and hunting, and by matching your training style to your hunting style, this is done much easier
